Regulatory & Compliance Officer

£25,000 – £28,000 dependent on experience

Graduate or 1–2 years+Bury (min 3 days p/w in office)

Blush & Bloom Talent are working in exclusive partnership with a well‑established and highly regarded business within the cosmetics and personal care industry. Due to continued growth, they are looking to bring on a Regulatory & Compliance Officer to join their expanding regulatory team.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their regulatory career to gain hands‑on exposure across global markets, working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment with strong development potential.

You will be responsible for assessing cosmetic and personal care products to ensure compliance across multiple regions including the UK, EU, USA and Canada. The role will involve a mix of technical regulatory work, project coordination and client interaction. You will receive relevant training and development to support your growth in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out regulatory assessments of cosmetic and personal care formulations and labelling in line with relevant legislation
  • Ensure products meet regulatory requirements prior to market placement (UK/EU)
  • Review and verify Product Information Files (PIFs) and Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSRs)
  • Assess product claims and labelling for compliance
  • Submit product notifications to relevant regulatory portals (e.g. EU and UK systems)
  • Support monitoring of adverse events and reporting where required
  • Act as a point of contact for regulatory queries, including authority interactions where needed
  • Work closely with internal technical teams to gather data and ensure smooth project delivery
  • Keep up to date with evolving global cosmetic regulations and support internal process improvements

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Life Sciences or similar
  • 1–2+ years’ experience within cosmetic regulatory/compliance – ideal but not a dealbreaker
  • Strong understanding of UK/EU cosmetic regulations (US/Canada knowledge beneficial)
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools
