Geography Teacher - Temporary

May 2026 to July 2026

We are currently working with a secondary school to recruit a Geography Teacher for a temporary position from May 2026 to July 2026.

This short term role is ideal for an adaptable and committed teacher who can quickly integrate into a department and deliver high quality Geography lessons through to the end of the academic year.

Role Overview

• Teach Geography across the relevant key stages
• Deliver engaging and well structured lessons aligned with the curriculum
• Plan, assess and monitor student progress effectively
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and engagement
• Work collaboratively with departmental staff to ensure continuity of learning

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge in Geography
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff quickly
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
