Overview

Stephen James Consulting is working with an established elderly care provider to find a Registered Home Manager for a mid‑sized nursing home based in Hertfordshire. This well‑established service has strong foundations in place, focusing on maintaining quality and delivering high standards of nursing and dementia care within a stable environment.

Responsibilities

• Overall operational and clinical leadership of the service
• Maintaining CQC standards and inspection readiness
• Leading and developing the nursing and care teams
• Overseeing governance, audits and compliance processes
• Managing occupancy, budgets and overall home performance

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing a nursing home
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and clinical governance
• A proven track record of stable leadership
• A visible, hands‑on and values‑led leadership approach
• Nurse qualification desirable but not essential

The role offers £60,000-£70,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
