Job Overview

MBDA is a leading defence organisation. The role is for a Project Manager to join the Industrial Transfer Team and deliver complex manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accomplished Project Manager with a proven track record in the delivery of fixed‑cost programmes within a matrix organisation.
  • Operate effectively in a matrix or cross‑functional environment, interfacing and influencing customers and suppliers and briefing senior management.
  • Manage project scope, identify deviations and negotiate changes and their impact on the overall project.
  • Identify risks and opportunity trends within cost, schedule and quality data and formulate plans to mitigate risk and deliver opportunities.
  • Prioritise objectives and manage day‑to‑day tactical actions.
  • Construct and maintain project plans and be familiar with project planning software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
  • Compile bids and estimates based on previous products or collaborate with design and engineering teams on new product definitions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organisation.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with Manufacturing Industrial Transfer Engineers.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Industrial Transfer projects for all stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with teams throughout the UK and internationally.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Good command of Microsoft packages including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience within an engineering or production environment is preferred.
  • Experience of production transfer projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and demonstrate a detail‑oriented, proactive approach.

Salary & Working Conditions

  • Salary: Circa £45,000 depending on experience.
  • Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2–3 days per week on site.
  • Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK National with British citizenship; all successful candidates will undergo BPSS checks.
