The Opportunity
Our Landscape Architecture team offers new Associate Director positions with expertise in Landscape Planning across our Birmingham and London offices. These roles provide a chance to advance your career while leading projects in urban regeneration, new town settlements, tall buildings, residential/mixed-use greenfield development, commercial, infrastructure and energy projects.
Locations: Birmingham or London, with a hybrid working model that balances in-office and home presence. Our environment promotes a supportive and inclusive culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the delivery of landscape and townscape planning projects, ensuring high-quality outputs and client satisfaction.
- Provide expert input into Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA), Townscape and Visual Impact Assessments (TVIA), and strategic landscape analysis.
- Guide and mentor team members, supporting their professional development and fostering a collaborative culture.
- Contribute to business development activities, including client engagement, bid preparation, and identifying new opportunities for growth.
- Represent the landscape team in internal and external meetings, such as planning inquiries and public consultations.
- Collaborate with colleagues across UK offices to deliver integrated and innovative solutions.
- Provide strategic advice on landscape capacity, sensitivity studies, and character assessments, including Green Belt and Strategic Gap evaluations.
About You
- Extensive experience in landscape planning, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Proven track record in leading complex projects and managing client relationships.
- Strong technical expertise in LVIA, TVIA and strategic landscape assessments.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams.
- Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or equivalent professional accreditation.
- A proactive and strategic mindset, with a passion for delivering sustainable and context-sensitive landscape solutions.
