We are recruiting a Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in major general, urology, and gynae-oncology surgery to join a well-established department in Northampton.
About the Role
- Deliver anaesthesia for major elective and complex surgical procedures
- Work across general surgery, urology, gynae-oncology, and day surgery
- Participate in a 1:12 on-call rota
- Contribute to perioperative care, MDT working, and service development
- Support teaching, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
The department supports around 20,000 procedures annually across multiple theatre suites and specialist services.
What We’re Looking For
- Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise
- CCT/CESR in Anaesthesia (or within 6 months)
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register (or eligibility)
- Experience in major general and complex surgical anaesthesia
- Interest in perioperative medicine (desirable)
