Senior Radar Analyst

Enfield, North London | Hybrid/On-site | Permanent

Up to £65,000 doe


We are seeking Senior Radar Analyst to join a global defense organisation in their Research & Development team.


This role will focus on analysing radar and related systems, developing new radar design concepts, and modelling current and next-generation radar technologies to support system performance and development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop mathematical models of radar and radar sub-systems using MATLAB, Simulink and Mathcad
  • Analyse radar system performance and produce technical reports
  • Design and develop digital signal processing algorithms
  • Provide design data and technical support to hardware and software teams
  • Support validation and testing of developed systems
  • Work closely with suppliers and technical partners to ensure performance targets are met
  • Contribute to the development of new radar systems and technologies
  • Prepare and present technical material to internal and external stakeholders


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline
  • Experience with MATLAB and Digital Signal Processing
  • Knowledge of radar or related fields such as sonar, communications, or image processing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to deliver technical work on time and within budget
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally within the UK and internationally


Desirable Experience

  • Pulse Compression, Doppler Filtering, CFAR or radar detection techniques
  • Radar video/image processing, tracking or phased array radar
  • Embedded software, Linux or FPGA development
  • RF, antenna or radar electronics
  • Programming experience in Python or C/C++
