Senior Radar Analyst

We are seeking Senior Radar Analyst to join a global defense organisation in their Research & Development team.
This role will focus on analysing radar and related systems, developing new radar design concepts, and modelling current and next-generation radar technologies to support system performance and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop mathematical models of radar and radar sub-systems using MATLAB, Simulink and Mathcad
- Analyse radar system performance and produce technical reports
- Design and develop digital signal processing algorithms
- Provide design data and technical support to hardware and software teams
- Support validation and testing of developed systems
- Work closely with suppliers and technical partners to ensure performance targets are met
- Contribute to the development of new radar systems and technologies
- Prepare and present technical material to internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline
- Experience with MATLAB and Digital Signal Processing
- Knowledge of radar or related fields such as sonar, communications, or image processing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to deliver technical work on time and within budget
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel occasionally within the UK and internationally
Desirable Experience
- Pulse Compression, Doppler Filtering, CFAR or radar detection techniques
- Radar video/image processing, tracking or phased array radar
- Embedded software, Linux or FPGA development
- RF, antenna or radar electronics
- Programming experience in Python or C/C++
