We are looking for a skilled Shift Engineer to join our Data Centre Operations team, supporting a mission-critical environment that demands the highest levels of reliability and performance.


As a Shift Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and operating critical infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime across electrical and mechanical systems within a 24/7 facility.


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Monitor and operate critical systems including UPS, generators, HVAC (CRAC/CRAH), and electrical distribution
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive faults
  • Carry out fault finding and first-line repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
  • Respond to alarms and incidents, ensuring swift resolution and minimal downtime
  • Liaise with subcontractors and oversee specialist maintenance works
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation
  • Follow strict health & safety procedures, including PTW and RAMS


What We’re Looking For


  • Experience in a critical environment (data centres, hospitals, industrial sites, etc.)
  • Strong electrical or mechanical background
  • Knowledge of UPS, generators, and cooling systems
  • Ability to work independently on a shift rota (days & nights)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
