PVG Membership
Roles that require PVG membership will require candidates to meet the cost. Only applicable to roles with a full‑time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. The Council will pay the initial cost (£18 for existing members, £59 for non‑members) which will be deducted from the first month’s salary.
Job Purpose
To contribute to the management of the school/service and the delivery of quality education through the appropriate involvement of pupils, staff, parents, multi‑disciplinary agencies and the community it serves, in accordance with the Authority’s Strategic Plan, the school’s Development Plan, National Priorities, Local Improvement Objectives, current legislation, and national and local agreements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Appropriate Teaching Qualification
- Full GTC (Scotland) Registration in the appropriate subject/sector
- PVG scheme membership
