Programme Overview
Kick-start your career in the food, fresh produce and agriculture industry with the MDS Fresh Futures Programme. Applications are now open for our Autumn 2026 intake. This two‑year paid programme offers the chance to learn on the job while earning a recognised supply chain qualification. The programme includes an 18‑month apprenticeship, alongside practical experience with leading food and farming businesses.
During the programme you will complete three 8‑month placements with different companies, gaining hands‑on experience in real roles that matter. For this intake, placements will be based within the West Sussex area, so you can build your experience without relocating. Across your placements you will develop practical skills, confidence and industry insight, with opportunities in packhouse operations, supply chain and logistics, quality, technical support, and more.
