Salary Range: £30,510 - £45,564 per annum

About the role

A Financial Assessment Officer will assist service users by completing financial assessment forms in accordance with council policies and the Care Act 2014 legislation, ensuring they understand the process. The role involves calculating client contributions for Council residents receiving adult social care services, responding to enquiries about financial assessments, invoices and charging policy via phone, letter and face‑to‑face meetings, and administering deferred payment arrangement applications. The position is 36 hours per week with an expectation to attend the office two days per week.

Desirable Qualifications

Prior experience in Adult Social Care financial assessment, knowledge of the Care Act 2014, or experience in similar fields such as Housing Benefits.
