Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected organisation in Wolverhampton seeking a commercially focused Financial Controller to join their senior leadership team.
This is a high-visibility role working closely with the Chief Executive and Board, offering real influence over organisational performance, strategy and long-term sustainability.
You’ll lead the finance function, manage a small team and play a key role supporting decision‑making across the wider organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, reporting and cashflow management
- Supporting strategic financial planning at leadership and Board level
- Acting as Company Secretary and overseeing governance compliance
- Managing monthly management accounts and year‑end audit process
- Maintaining organisational risk controls and compliance frameworks
- Supporting funded projects, bids and partnership delivery activity
- Overseeing supplier relationships and ISO 9001 quality systems
- Supporting wider organisational compliance across HR and H&S systems
We’re looking for someone who
- Has operated at Financial Controller or Finance Director level
- Is confident presenting at Board level
- Has strong governance and statutory compliance experience
- Enjoys working in an SME or relationship‑driven environment
- Has managed finance staff
