Dental Veterinary Surgeon (Small Animal) – East Yorkshire – Up to £60,000

An independent, small animal veterinary practice in East Yorkshire is seeking a Dental Veterinary Surgeon to join its growing team across two sites in Bridlington and Driffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a vet with a strong interest or certification in veterinary dentistry to develop and lead this area within a well‑equipped, forward‑thinking practice.

The Practice

The practice operates from two busy locations, including a purpose‑built veterinary hospital in Bridlington and a well‑established branch in Driffield.

Both sites are equipped with modern veterinary technology, including:

  • Diagnostic ultrasound
  • Digital X‑ray
  • In‑house laboratory facilities

The Bridlington site also offers:

  • CT scanner
  • Endoscopy suite
  • Fully equipped laparoscopic, orthopaedic and dental theatres

In addition, the practice provides its own out‑of‑hours (OOH) emergency service, supporting both internal clients and multiple local practices.

A dedicated rehabilitation centre is based at the Bridlington site, featuring:

  • Underwater treadmill
  • 6m x 4m hydrotherapy pool
  • Physiotherapy and rehabilitation consultation facilities

The Team

The successful candidate will join a collaborative and supportive team of:

  • 16 Veterinary Surgeons, including certificate holders in diagnostic imaging, surgery and medicine
  • Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), including certificate holders
  • A busy nurse training practice environment
  • A dedicated client care team
  • Specialist rehabilitation and OOH teams

The practice actively supports continuing professional development (CPD) and further certifications.

The Role – Dental Veterinary Surgeon

This role is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon with:

  • A certificate in veterinary dentistry, or
  • Ongoing study towards a dental qualification, or
  • Strong practical experience in small animal dentistry and oral surgery

The dental suite is fully equipped to support:

  • Advanced first opinion dentistry
  • Complex dental and oral surgical procedures
  • Staged dental workflows

This position offers the opportunity to develop and expand dental services within the practice.

Working Pattern & Salary

  • Full‑time: 4 days per week
  • Weekend rota with time off in lieu
  • Flexible or part‑time working options considered

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience and hours)
