Customer Relationships Manager (CRM) is an exciting role focused on developing rewarding relationships by supporting customers to access Nationwide products and services through multiple channels, including face‑to‑face in‑branch, phone and video call.

This is a permanent, full‑time position (35 hours a week, Monday to Saturday) based at the Sheffield branch.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support customers via phone, video call or face‑to‑face, helping them access Nationwide’s products such as Credit Cards, Personal Loans, General Insurance and Current Accounts.
  • Answer a wide range of customer enquiries, including complex topics, and refer customers to specialist advisers when necessary.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert within the branch, providing support for colleagues on quality customer conversations.
  • Support vulnerable customers, using specialist knowledge to offer extra help.
  • Develop communication skills to explain products and services clearly, building rapport and discovering the options that best meet each customer’s needs.
  • Work in a fast‑paced environment, continuously learning and applying knowledge across the non‑advised product range.

About you

  • Relevant experience in addressing customer needs through principled sales processes and holistic customer care.
  • Customer service skills across face‑to‑face, telephony and digital channels.
  • Experience in a financial services or retail customer‑facing role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain decisions clearly over the telephone and in writing.
  • Computer skills and comfort with digital tools such as mobile devices, online calculators and multiple Office/database applications.
  • Strong motivation, organisation, time‑management and attention to detail.
  • Empathy and compassion, building good relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Nationwide’s customer‑first behaviours.
