About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented graphic designer to join our team as soon as possible on a maternity cover contract. This role is ideal for someone with strong editorial design expertise and a passion for typography and information design, who can translate complex research and data into clear, engaging visual outputs.

You will play a key role in designing the Foundation’s publications and reports, ensuring consistency, clarity and high production standards across all materials.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and produce high‑quality publications, reports and editorial materials.
  • Develop strong, consistent layouts with excellent attention to typography and hierarchy.
  • Recreate and adapt graphs and data visualisations for print and digital in line with the Foundation’s style.
  • Prepare and finalise files for print, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Work closely with internal teams to deliver projects under tight deadlines, including last‑minute changes.
  • Apply and maintain the Foundation’s brand guidelines across all outputs.

Skills and experience

  • Strong design skills with confidence in editorial design and typography.
  • Proven experience in publication design and layout.
  • Ability to interpret and visually present data, including recreating graphs.
  • Solid understanding of the print production process.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign (essential), Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience working within established brand guidelines.
  • Experience working with research, policy, or non‑profit organisations.
