As a Compliance Engineer, you will support the Lab Manager by ensuring that product approvals are current and compliant with the latest international standards. This role involves managing third-party products to ensure all data is up to date to place on the market, this could include testing the products to verify the data that has been shared.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and develop test plans according to required standards and legislation.
  • Maintain internal test verification methods in line with the latest approval standards.
  • Review third-party data to support new product introductions.
  • Interpret third-party test reports to identify covered products and any outstanding data needed.
  • Maintain databases to support products and accompanying data.
  • Develop technical presentations for supporting evidence on the samples.
  • Liaise with suppliers to request the required information.
  • Create technical files in accordance with product legislation.
  • Sample inspection and testing to verify products in line with expectations
  • Create and maintain data / energy labels, product codes and packaging related items.
  • Create and maintain instruction manuals
  • Define spares list and maintain.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure the products are released on a timely basis

Essential Requirements for Candidates

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, or related experience.
  • Proven experience (>3 years) in engineering in a product compliance role
  • Able to read engineering drawings and schematic diagrams.
  • Able to plan work to balance conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of Product legislation requirements (LVD, GAR, CPR, etc) including international requirements
  • Able to interpret and understand test standards
  • A self-starter that can work autonomously
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment where variants are high and lead times are short.
  • Travel between sites (Leamington and Telford)
