Structural Engineer / Senior Structural Engineer - Residential & Multi‑Storey Projects
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer or Senior Structural Engineer to join a growing consultancy based near Reading, supporting the delivery of a strong pipeline of residential, mixed‑use and multi‑storey development projects.
This role offers the chance to work on large‑scale residential schemes, refurbishment projects and complex multi‑storey buildings, with opportunities to lead projects and take on greater technical responsibility.
The successful candidate will play a key role in structural design, project delivery and client coordination, within a collaborative and forward‑thinking engineering team.
Location: Reading (Hybrid – 3 Days per Week in Office – Twyford: Mon/Wed/Fri)
Salary: £45,000 – £68,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
- Delivering structural design across residential, mixed‑use and multi‑storey developments
- Producing and reviewing calculations, drawings and technical reports
- Leading or supporting delivery of structural engineering projects from concept to completion
- Working on refurbishment and new‑build developments
- Coordinating with architects and multidisciplinary teams
- Supporting client meetings and project discussions
- Ensuring designs comply with UK standards and regulations
- Mentoring junior engineers (Senior level)
Requirements
- 5–10 years’ experience in structural engineering
- Proven experience working on residential, mixed‑use or multi‑storey building projects
- Strong experience in structural design and project delivery
- Experience working within a UK consultancy environment
- Ability to manage or lead projects (Senior level)
- Strong communication and coordination skills
Desirable
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership
- Experience delivering large‑scale or complex developments
