HR Manager – Help Build the Next Growth Chapter of a Yorkshire Consultancy
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 DOE + bonus opportunity
Location: North Yorkshire / Hybrid with regular client travel across Yorkshire

The Opportunity
You will lead and grow relationships with a portfolio of clients, becoming their trusted people partner.
Strategic HR Support
- Advising MDs, owners and senior leaders on workforce strategy, structure and culture
- Supporting leadership capability, engagement and retention plans
- Helping businesses scale effectively through better people practices
Operational HR Expertise
- Employee relations casework
- Performance, absence, disciplinaries and grievances
- Contracts, policies and compliance
- Employment law guidance and best practice
Growth & Consultancy
- Spotting opportunities to add value across client accounts
- Leading HR audits, change projects and restructures
- Supporting workshops, training and leadership development
- Helping shape new service lines and consultancy propositions
About You
We are especially interested in people moving from industry into consultancy. You may currently be:
- HR Manager
- HR Business Partner
- Senior HR Advisor
- Standalone HR Lead in an SME manufacturing or engineering business
You will bring
- Strong generalist HR experience in a commercial environment
- Confidence working with senior leaders
- Pragmatic approach with strong business judgement
- Ability to balance people needs with commercial outcomes
- Energy, credibility and relationship‑building skills
- Desire to help grow a business, not just do a job
