Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced rota co‑ordinator, able to work on own initiative to identify and resolve issues. The post holder will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of general medical and Speciality Medicine staffing across the division, including entering locum shifts for medical staff and acting as the first point of contact for issues relating to junior doctors, such as sickness reporting.
The post holder will be supported by General Medicine and Speciality Medicine, Service managers and the General Manager, and will work closely with medical rota co‑coordinators, clinical leads, divisional clinical directors and bank partners to ensure safe medical staffing provision for the division.
Key Responsibilities
- Co‑ordinate, log and monitor all types of leave for medical staff, including consultants.
- Act as the first point of contact for junior doctors, including sickness reporting, annual leave, study leave, shift swaps, and organising locum cover; this includes involvement in induction and training days.
- Work with consultants and HR to coordinate and administer all recruitment within the division.
- Ensure statutory mandatory compliance for all medical staff.
- Assist and support the operational team in entering locum shifts on HealthRoster for all medical staff.
- Work across all divisional specialities with particular focus on General Medicine and Speciality Medicine.
