We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our team at HMP Stocken, a category C men’s Prison located in Rutland.

Monday – Friday: core office hours

Salary

This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £28,574 per annum – depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you’ll be doing

  • Contribute to the delivery of administration services to the healthcare team on site
  • Work within a busy team, completing a variety of administrative tasks, working on IT systems, maintaining databases, waiting lists, call‑up lists, customer service, answering and directing telephone calls, general office duties such as typing, ordering and stock control, scanning, etc.

Qualifications Required

  • English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Good IT skills and IT literacy
  • Ability to work within a busy environment
