Project Manager
Location: Devonport, Plymouth, GB, PL1 4SG
This full‑time position requires 35 hours per week and offers hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days onsite.
The role
As a Project Manager at Devonport Royal Dockyard, you will deliver defined project work packages within our Major Infrastructure Projects business area, balancing schedule, cost, quality and risk to meet customer and business expectations.
Responsibilities
- Delivering project management activities including schedule, cost, risk and reporting
- Managing work packages delivered by internal teams and external suppliers
- Controlling project budgets, forecasts and financial performance
- Engaging stakeholders to agree scope, requirements and delivery plans
- Applying project controls and governance using agreed business systems and frameworks
Essential experience
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects or work packages within complex environments
- Proven ability to manage schedule, cost, risk and resource effectively
- Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams and third‑party suppliers
- Ability to support or lead elements of larger, complex projects
- Experience working in regulated or safety‑critical sectors is advantageous
Qualifications
- A Level 4 qualification in engineering, project management, construction or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Working toward or holding Registered Project Professional status would be advantageous
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National capable of achieving and maintaining Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
