Quantity Surveyor – Project or Senior

Salary: £300-£400 per dayLocation: Bank, LondonRegion: London

We are currently recruiting for a Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor in Central London. The project is near Bank and is worth in excess of £80M working on a 5* hotel.

Your duties will include:

• Ensure all costs are agreed and stay within budgeted costs.
• Review sub-contractor applications and assess that the value that has been applied for is correct with work carried out.
• Identify any potential over spend and make sure that it is documented and passed onto the relevant management.
• Prepare interim valuations to be supplied to the client.
• Agree all final accounts with sub-contractors.

Experience and qualifications:

• Educated to degree level either in Quantity Surveying or a construction discipline.
• Experience within the commercial sector for a main contractor.
• To have worked on projects in excess of £5M.
• Strong commercial and interpersonal skills.
• Have a proven record on delivering projects within budget.
• It would be beneficial if you have worked on heritage projects.
• Experience of working on hotel, high-end residential or student accommodation projects.

This position is available either on a freelance or permanent basis.
