We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Sheffield. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of industrial projects, taking designs from concept through to detailed engineering and manufacture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical components, assemblies, and industrial machinery using SolidWorks.
- Produce detailed 2D fabrication drawings and 3D models.
- Design sheet metal components and welded fabrications to manufacturing standards.
- Support projects from concept through to manufacture and delivery.
- Liaise with fabrication and production teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
- Generate BOMs and technical documentation.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and design improvements.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong experience using SolidWorks (essential).
- Background in mechanical design within industrial machinery, fabrication, or similar environments.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Mechanical Design.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Product Design Engineering, or similar.
