Groundworks Project Manager – Manchester – Immediate Start

We are currently seeking an experienced Groundworks Project Manager to support a growing pipeline of civil engineering and groundworks projects across Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes full ownership of project delivery.

The Role

You will take responsibility for managing groundworks packages from start to finish, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role suits someone confident working across multiple sites, coordinating teams, and driving programmes forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of groundworks including drainage, foundations, roads, and infrastructure
• Manage site teams, plant, and subcontract labour
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations
• Plan works, manage programmes, and track progress against deadlines
• Liaise with main contractors, engineers, and site stakeholders
• Manage materials, logistics, and day‑to‑day site operations
• Maintain quality control and resolve on‑site challenges proactively

Requirements

• Proven experience managing groundworks projects/packages
• Strong technical knowledge across all aspects of groundworks
• Ability to run multiple sites and manage changing priorities
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (preferred)
• Full UK driving licence
