Hours: Full Time – 45 Hours Per Week, including weekends

At British Garden Centres, we aim to deliver a great experience in our Centres and go above and beyond to create an exceptional customer service experience. We are looking for a Garden Centre Manager to join our forward‑thinking team. Working in the Garden Centre is a high‑volume environment with a fast turnaround.

The successful candidate should have proven managerial experience and be physically fit, as this is a very hands‑on role and some heavy lifting may be required. A highly motivated individual with a passion for exceptional retail standards, driving sales and excellent customer service is essential. Must have previous Garden Centre Management experience either as a centre manager or deputy manager, and be able to motivate a team of managers and supervisors to work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines. Plant knowledge is preferable. As a Garden Centre Manager you will manage, lead, inspire and develop an amazing team, ensuring all customers have a great in‑store experience.

Duties will include

• Excel knowledge essential to manage rotas and budgeting.
• Close attention to detail required to implement and manage all aspects of company policy and procedures such as EPOS, stock management, health & safety, security and cash handling.
• Keyholder duties.
• Management duties.
• Delivering all KPI’s, costs and budgeting.
• Colleague development and succession planning.
• Delivering colleague engagement and training.
• Ordering and stock taking.
• Excellent customer service.
