A growing professional services firm is seeking a commercially focused Head of FP&A to build and embed a high-performing commercial finance function while partnering closely with the CEO and executive board to shape and deliver strategic objectives.

Offering a salary of up to £100,000 plus a benefits package worth up to 40%, this is a pivotal leadership role with significant influence across the organisation.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will transform the FP&A function into a forward-looking, insight-led capability that underpins strategic decision-making. Acting as a key business partner to the CEO and board, they will provide robust financial analysis, forecasting, and commercial insight to support growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Embed a commercially driven FP&A function aligned to business strategy
  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to define and deliver long-term strategic plans
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and modelling to inform key decisions
  • Develop meaningful KPIs and performance reporting for board-level insight
  • Support pricing strategy and commercial decision-making
  • Deliver clear, concise reporting on performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience delivering strategic financial insight at executive/board level
  • Strong commercial acumen within a professional services or similar environment
  • Track record of building or evolving FP&A functions
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
  • Highly analytical with advanced financial modelling capability
