Senior Directory Services Engineer – Salary circa £70.000

A bit about the job:
You will join our Global Enterprise Technology team to protect and modernise Aviva’s identity services. This role exists to ensure the stability and security of our Active Directory and cloud-hosted platforms. You will be accountable for resolving complex issues and migrating traditional directory services to modern cloud environments. By improving service resilience, you enable secure and frictionless access for all Aviva colleagues. Your work directly safeguards our highly regulated estate while shaping the future of our Identity and Access Management.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience managing Active Directory at Domain Admin level within complex, highly regulated, multi-domain environments.
- Strong technical expertise in Active Directory architecture, including replication, Group Policy, sites and services, and secure configuration baselines, with a proven ability to resolve complex directory issues and maintain stable operations.
- Hands‑on experience managing Domain Controllers in AWS cloud environments and contributing to identity transformation initiatives, including migration from on‑premises AD to cloud-hosted platforms.
- Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to build and maintain Windows systems.
- Experience administering and supporting enterprise identity platforms such as Entra ID and SailPoint, with a solid understanding of modern IAM, security, and governance principles.
