Job Description:

Position: Reporting Lead (Deputy) – CMR Reporting Lead

Location: 2 days on site / 3 days hybrid

Type: Full‑time

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: Competitive

We are seeking a Reporting Lead (Deputy) to support the delivery of high‑quality, end‑to‑end reporting across a major, nationally significant infrastructure programme within the energy sector. This role is critical to ensuring that data captured across the programme is governed, validated, and transformed into clear, trusted reporting outputs that support effective decision‑making.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and delivery of end‑to‑end reporting processes within the client organisation, from data capture and governance through to reporting outputs.
  • Play a key role in month‑end reporting cycles, ensuring data quality, completeness, and timely delivery in line with client expectations.
  • Ensure reporting outputs are consistent, traceable, and aligned to agreed standards and controls.
  • Work with client teams to support effective data capture, validation, and governance practices.
  • Help establish and embed clear data definitions, ownership, and quality controls across reporting processes.
  • Proactively identify data quality or process issues and work collaboratively with client stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Operate effectively within a client‑facing environment, building strong working relationships and trust.
  • Act as an interface between business, delivery, and technical teams, conversing confidently with technical specialists without requiring deep platform expertise.
  • Support senior client stakeholders by providing insight, analysis, and clear narratives behind the data.
  • Bring a pragmatic, solutions‑driven approach, focused on improving reporting processes rather than simply highlighting issues.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, standardise, or improve reporting within the client’s existing tools and processes.
  • Represent the consultancy professionally, upholding high standards of delivery and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in end‑to‑end reporting, including data capture, governance, validation, and reporting outputs.
  • Hands‑on involvement in month‑end reporting data processes.
  • Experience working in large, complex programmes or projects, ideally within infrastructure, energy or other regulated environments.
  • Comfortable engaging with technical teams and translating between technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced client environment.

Additional Background

  • Suitable for a Reporting professional or Project Controls Manager with solid exposure to reporting and month‑end processes.
  • Detailed knowledge of data platform architecture is not required, but the ability to understand concepts and challenge intelligently is important.

Benefits

  • 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays)
  • Comprehensive private healthcare (inc. dentist and optician)
  • Life assurance (x4 salary)
  • Pension: employer’s contribution of 4 %
  • Company and personal performance‑based bonus
  • Salary sacrifice scheme
  • Long service leave
  • Training and professional development
  • Regular social events
  • Perkbox – employee experience platform

Requirements

  • Full right to work in the UK.
  • Working from home and 2 days on site across multiple locations.
