Role Overview
You are an experienced IT professional excited about providing outstanding support for Finance Systems. You have delivered support and development for Oracle EBusiness Suite R12 across Europe and led a multicounty implementation. In this pivotal European role you will be a key part of a small but effective team supporting our mission‑critical Oracle Finance applications for Superdrug, Rossmann, Kruidvat, Mariaunnaud, and The Perfume Shop. The role involves coaching the organisation to live the brand purpose, delivering customer‑first service across online and offline touchpoints.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Group Manager of European Finance Systems.
- Maintaining effective support for EU Finance functions, liaising across IT and external partners to resolve issues.
- Delivering support services that meet agreed KPIs and, wherever possible, exceed them.
- Providing specialized support for UK Business Units with Bottomline (invoices), Accurate (bank reconciliation) and Experian (Payments).
- Coordinating the provision of financial reports and analysis through the EU Finance management team and supporting staff, and managing information for Corporate Finance.
- Managing the acceptance of projects into Business‑as‑Usual support.
- Ensuring European Finance Systems are audit compliant.
- Generating detailed customer‑focused initiatives that improve service for both online and offline channels.
- Listening to customers and implementing new ideas that delight stakeholders and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong customer‑service orientation with pride in delivering outstanding service.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Efficient multi‑tasking while balancing multiple priorities.
- Positive, can‑do attitude; a self‑starter who does not require micro‑management.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- 2+ years experience in a formal ITIL‑based support environment.
- Broad understanding of financial systems and processes (GL, P2P, AR, FA).
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Skill in managing complex stakeholder communication.
- Collaborative leadership that sets and exceeds goals.

Technical Skills
- 5+ years supporting Oracle EBS R12.2.
- Ability to respond to technical incidents with prompt resolution.
- Strong technical skills in SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX scripting, Oracle Reports, Oracle Forms, Forms Personalisation.
- Good knowledge of Oracle Applications Development Standards.
- Capability to discuss functional issues with users and articulate solutions.
- Experience with TOAD/Oracle SQL Developer.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working within a European environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
- Support experience with Bottomline, Accurate, and Experian.
- Strategic use of AI to enhance work, shifting routine tasks to higher‑value activities.
- Demonstrated ability to model behaviours that encourage confidence in AI use.
- Maintaining a strong human touch while leveraging AI efficiency.
