We're looking for an Industry Governance Officer to join our Regulation & Compliance function here at Drax. Reporting to the Regulation Manager – Industry Governance, you will manage changes to Industry Codes, coordinate Drax's input to changes in industry charging arrangements, analyse their impacts, influence positive outcomes for the organisation, and cascade key information to ensure timely delivery and compliance.

About the role:

As an Industry Governance Officer, you will ensure all future industry changes or code modifications are successfully delivered within required deadlines. You will effectively communicate key regulatory, charging and code governance information and provide interpretation and advice as required. Importantly, you will proactively track and monitor industry updates, participate in industry workgroups and forums, and communicate key information to the business as appropriate.

Key accountabilities include:

• Represent Drax at industry meetings and liaise with industry bodies and trade bodies, e.g. Ofgem, Code Governance bodies and Energy UK.
• Lead on responses to Code Modifications, RFIs, Consultations and Calls for Evidence.
• Support the Commercial team to ensure the current and prospective regulatory and industry governance landscape is considered in the assessment of market/strategic opportunities and pricing/charging arrangements.
• Work collaboratively across the Group Regulation & Compliance function to ensure alignment on interpretation and external positioning, and to use resources efficiently.

Who we're looking for:

• Knowledge of the energy sector and associated industry codes, charging, systems and governance arrangements is highly desired; other regulated sectors will be considered.
• Ability to interpret and simplify complex information and communicate this effectively to various audiences.
• Ability to develop and maintain constructive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
