NDT Level 3 / Senior Analyst
We are looking for an experienced NDT Level 3 / Senior Analyst to join our Materials Quality Control team at our Manchester facility. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee non-disruptive testing techniques, train and mentor Level 1 and 2 testers, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards. You will also support other onsite testing such as tensile strength, chemical composition (XRF and OES), corrosion rates, etc.
- Training operatives
- Reviewing and updating SOPs
- Calibrating equipment
- Developing new methods and reviewing specifications
- Reviewing output and supporting continuous improvement activities
- Ensuring high level of housekeeping – 5S adherence
- Carrying out internal audits
- Carrying out investigations and root cause analysis for any out of specification material
- Ensure compliance to all Environmental, Health and Safety policies, laws and regulations as they apply to laboratory function and operation
- Be actively involved as part of the team in ensuring the Department meets all its key objectives as measured by its Key Performance Indicators. Participate in - and lead - Continuous Improvement Initiatives (such as Method Development, 5S and Lean Manufacturing Workflow Exercises) which support the LUXFER core values of Customer First, Integrity, Accountability, Innovation, Personal Development and Teamwork
- Be responsible for organizing your own workload based on agreed priorities and deadlines and understand that predictable attendance is critical to accomplishing essential tasks
- Any other duties within the post holder’s competence as requested
Qualifications
- At least 5 GCSEs (incl. Eng, Maths) – A-C
- Achieved a Level 3 NDT qualification (issued on behalf of the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing)
- At least 5 years experience with ultrasonic immersion testing techniques
- Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Safety conscious and have a high level of attention to detail
- Professional approach to work and a team player

Employment Details
You’ll be employed on a permanent contract working weekdays. As our facility operates 24/7, flexibility to cover occasional weekend or evening/night work may be required. You’ll be working from our head office in Swinton, Greater Manchester.
