Senior Mental Health Practitioner – Spalding
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced clinicians to join the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) in Spalding. If you have not yet obtained a supervision qualification, you must be prepared to attend the required course and travel to university. This is a fixed‑term post of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of mental health practitioners within educational settings.
- Coordinate and support the delivery of Whole School Approach activities.
- Develop and implement mental‑health programmes and interventions tailored to the needs of students and staff.
- Conduct assessments and deliver individual and group therapy to students with mild to moderate difficulties.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, leadership teams and parents/carers to create a supportive framework.
- Stay informed of current trends, research and best practices in mental health and education.
- Offer training and professional development to education staff.
- Coordinate and participate in Critical Incident Responses as required.
- Provide support and clinical supervision to Low Intensity CBT practitioners within the MHST.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experienced clinician in mental health.
- Ability to obtain a supervision qualification if not already held.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Experience working in educational or school settings is desirable.
