Veterinary Surgeon Vacancy – Hospital Vet – MANCHESTER Area ( to £65K)

Role Overview

We have an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the fantastic team at a small animal veterinary hospital in the Manchester area.

Position Details

• hospital day/OOH role with a mix of some weekdays, weekends and nights on a rota.
• full time hours, 40 hour average week to include 1 in 4 weekends and some night shifts.
• practice is a 24 hour Tier 3 RCVS accredited small animal hospital with superb facilities and state-of-the-art equipment including advanced diagnostic imaging (CT scanner), doppler echocardiography and flexible/rigid endoscopes, direct radiography suites, ultrasound scanners, dental radiography, electrocautery, laparoscopy and advanced anaesthesia equipment.
• varied role caring for inpatients at the hospital and there will be sole charge as part of this role, so some experience is needed.
• role would suit an experienced veterinary surgeon with good surgical and medical skills.
• role gives lots of variety of work and offers a great development opportunity.
• well located in a lovely part of the world close to both the Peak district and the Lake District, with excellent transport links and a short train ride to enjoy the vibrant City of Manchester.

Person Requirements

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
• Registered with the RCVS
• experienced veterinary surgeon
• good surgical and medical skills
• able to work some sole charge
