Salary £38,000 package

Due to continued growth, a well-established and highly regarded provider of print finishing and mailing solutions is looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer with a mechanical and/or electrical background.

This is a home-based role, ideally suited to an engineer based in the North of England, covering a mix of regional, national, and occasional international travel.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault‑finding of a range of print finishing equipment, including:

• Binding
• Stitching
• Laminating
• Folding
• Cutting machinery

You’ll support a well‑established customer base, working both independently and as part of a wider engineering team to deliver a high level of technical service.

This is a hands‑on role involving regular travel and occasional overnight stays, offering variety and autonomy in your day‑to‑day work.

About You

• Essential: Previous experience working as an engineer within the print, packaging, or similar FMCG/manufacturing environment
• Either a site‑based engineer looking to step into a field‑based role, or an existing Field Service Engineer
• Mechanical and/or electrical engineering skills with strong fault‑finding ability
• Keen to develop and build on existing technical knowledge
• Comfortable working in a customer‑facing role
• Flexible approach to travel, including occasional working away
• Full UK driving licence
