Senior Mechanical Project / Mechanical Contract Manager
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of multiple mechanical building services projects from pre‑construction through to completion and handover, supporting a structures team of office based and site engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical projects with values ranging from £1m–£10m+
- Oversee project teams including Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors
- Manage budgets, cost control, forecasting and financial reporting
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards
- Client liaison and relationship management
- Subcontractor procurement and performance management
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and statutory requirements
- Support pre‑construction activities and technical input where required
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Senior Mechanical Project Manager or Contract Manager role within building services
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness
- Experience delivering large‑scale mechanical installations (HVAC, plant rooms, pipework, etc.)
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Relevant mechanical qualifications (HNC/HND in Mechanical / Building services engineering)
Compensation and Benefits
