Salary: £35,608 to £47,389 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Construction Compliance Officer to join the Compliance Team within the Estates & Facilities Department. The role holder will support the delivery of arrangements managing contractor safety performance across our premises during construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the permit to work function acting as a permit authoriser.
• Develop contractor site rules and induction packages.
• Review risk assessments and method statements.
• Carry out onsite inspections to ensure adherence to University standards.
• Conduct assurance exercises on existing contractor and CDM control measures.
• Collate and report on data, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

• NEBOSH Construction Safety General Certificate qualification or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 4/5/6 or BTEC diploma in Building Construction or similar.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of the control of H&S risks in construction work on either the client or contractor side.
