Quality Control Engineer

QC Engineer

Location: Kent
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000
Shift: Monday to Friday (40 hours, 30‑minute unpaid break)

My client is looking to strengthen its quality team with the addition of a QC Engineer. This is a hands‑on role focused on product validation, inspection, and supporting continuous improvement across manufacturing.

You’ll be expected to take ownership of quality verification, not just tick boxes.

The Role

As a QC Engineer, you will ensure products, materials, and processes meet the required standards across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out validation of products, materials and components
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Supporting root cause analysis and problem‑solving activities
• Analysing quality data to identify trends and issues
• Creating and maintaining inspection procedures and SOPs
• Supporting and coordinating QC Technicians and Inspectors
• Ensuring all inspection and testing data is accurately recorded
• Maintaining calibration of measuring equipment
• Supporting audits and compliance with quality systems

About You

• Experience within a manufacturing quality environment
• Strong understanding of inspection and testing methodologies
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• High attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Data‑driven and methodical in approach

Desirable

• CMM experience
• Six Sigma / 5S knowledge
• ISO 9001 experience
