QC Engineer
Location: KentSalary: £33,000 – £35,000Shift: Monday to Friday (40 hours, 30‑minute unpaid break)
My client is looking to strengthen its quality team with the addition of a QC Engineer. This is a hands‑on role focused on product validation, inspection, and supporting continuous improvement across manufacturing.
You’ll be expected to take ownership of quality verification, not just tick boxes.
The Role
As a QC Engineer, you will ensure products, materials, and processes meet the required standards across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out validation of products, materials and components
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Supporting root cause analysis and problem‑solving activities
- Analysing quality data to identify trends and issues
- Creating and maintaining inspection procedures and SOPs
- Supporting and coordinating QC Technicians and Inspectors
- Ensuring all inspection and testing data is accurately recorded
- Maintaining calibration of measuring equipment
- Supporting audits and compliance with quality systems
About You
- Experience within a manufacturing quality environment
- Strong understanding of inspection and testing methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- High attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Data‑driven and methodical in approach
Desirable
- CMM experience
- Six Sigma / 5S knowledge
- ISO 9001 experience
