Our client, a prominent multi‑franchise‑approved car dealer group established since 1994 and operating across the Southwest, Midlands, and South Wales regions, is seeking a Service Manager to join their Cheltenham dealership. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to lead a busy aftersales team and contribute to delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties of a Service Manager
- Lead and manage the dealership's aftersales department to ensure operational efficiency
- Oversee a team comprising 6‑7 vehicle technicians, 3 service advisors, and 2 workshop controllers
- Drive customer satisfaction by maximising workshop utilisation and ensuring effective labour sales
- Support and motivate staff to achieve departmental targets and uphold company policies
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and health and safety regulations
- Maintain high levels of communication with other departments to facilitate smooth operations
- Monitor and control departmental budgets and costs to optimise profitability
- Present daily, weekly, and monthly reports on department performance
Requirements of a Service Manager
- Proven management experience within a medium to large franchise‑approved dealership's aftersales or service department
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- IT literacy, including familiarity with dealership management systems
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment
- Residing within a reasonable commuting distance of Cheltenham
