TLP Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Transport Co-Ordinator to join a well-established logistics and distribution operation based in the South West on a 12-month temporary contract, with the opportunity to go permanent.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong planning and organisational skills to join a busy transport team and potentially secure a long-term position.

- Salary starting from £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

The Role
- Planning and scheduling deliveries to meet customer demand
- Managing vehicle routes to maximise efficiency and utilisation
- Working closely with drivers, external hauliers and agencies
- Handling re-deliveries and resolving service-related issues
- Monitoring transport costs and maintaining accurate records
- Managing returnable packaging and stock levels
- Processing driver payroll information and ensuring documentation is prepared
- Communicating daily with drivers and internal teams regarding delivery updates
- Investigating and signing off transport-related issues or complaints
What do we need from you?
- Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator, able to liaise with drivers, customers and internal teams
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good IT skills (including spreadsheets and transport systems)
- Understanding of driver hours, compliance and transport operations (preferred)
- Positive, team-focused attitude
