Fire Alarm Service & Small Works Engineer – Central London – £35,000 – £42,000 Basic Salary Per Annum

Fire Alarm Service & Small Works Engineer Package Overview:

  • £35,000 – £42,000 Basic Salary
  • Full-Time, Permanent
  • Monday to Friday Hours (8:00 – 16:30) + overtime & weekend work available

Company Overview – Service & Small Works Engineer

Our client is a well established and highly reputable organisation within the fire and security industry, operating across sectors including healthcare, education and manufacturing. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are now looking to expand their engineering team by recruiting an experienced Service & Small Works Engineer.

Fire Alarm Service & Small Works Engineer Role and Responsibilities:

  • Attend reactive callouts, carrying out fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs across fire alarm systems
  • Perform planned servicing and maintenance on both conventional and addressable systems
  • Undertake small works projects, including system extensions, device additions and relocations, and panel or component upgrades
  • Work across a range of manufacturer systems including Morley, Advanced, Kentec, and Gent
  • Maintain a 50/50 split between maintenance and small works duties
  • Communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders at all times
  • Accurately complete all service reports and documentation

Fire Alarm Service & Small Works Engineer Skills and Experience Required:

  • FIA Level 2 in Fire Detection & Alarm Systems (or equivalent)
  • CSCS card (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in fire alarm servicing and installation
  • Strong background in fault finding, maintenance, and system diagnostics
  • Experience delivering or supporting small works projects
  • Knowledge of leading fire alarm manufacturers including Morley, Advanced, Kentec, and Gent
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Experience commissioning and testing fire alarm systems
  • Ability to obtain a DBS check required
