Location: In a daily commutable distance to Maidenhead (Slough, Reading, Watford, Oxford)


The Role

As a Field Pump Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of pump systems across client sites. You will play a key role in diagnosing faults, delivering effective solutions, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. You will work both independently and as part of a team, providing technical expertise and maintaining the high standards our client is known for.


Key Responsibilities


  • Carry out on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of pumps
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshooting to diagnose pump faults accurately
  • Work closely with clients to understand requirements and provide tailored solutions
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and industry standards during all work
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to clients on pump operation and maintenance
  • Deliver excellent customer service, building long-term client relationships
  • Complete work efficiently and within agreed deadlines
  • Maintain accurate service records, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts used
  • Stay up to date with new pump technologies and industry developments


What We’re Looking For


  • Previous experience working as a Pump Engineer
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of on-site treatment plants and pump stations (foul and clean water)
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
  • IT literate and comfortable using PDA systems for job reporting
  • Flexible and willing to work varied hours and respond to emergency call-outs when required
  • Full UK manual driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites
