Do you enjoy working with good food and great people?
We are seeking a Chef Supervisor to join our friendly team at Queen Elizabeth Country Park. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a modern, light filled space serving good mood food in a stunning countryside setting. From hearty breakfasts to vibrant salads, everything we serve is freshly made using locally sourced ingredients.
The Chef Supervisor supports the day to day preparation and service of food and drink, helping to deliver a high quality and welcoming experience for visitors to Queen Elizabeth Country Park, as well as deputising in the absence of the Catering Manager or Assistant Catering Manager.
You will have experience working in a kitchen environment, with strong food preparation skills, an understanding of food safety and stock control and experience supervising teams within a catering environment. A keen eye for detail and pride in personal presentation is essential. Well organised with excellent communication skills, you will put the customer at the heart of everything you do. Confidence working in a busy environment is key, along with the ability to remain calm under pressure, and adapt effectively to unexpected situations.
This role is for three days per week within a seven-day operation, with shifts typically between 9am and 5pm, and some evening hours for events. Sunday and Bank Holiday working is paid at an enhanced rate, with additional seasonal overtime available.
On top of this rewarding opportunity to work in a beautiful country park, we offer a competitive salary and generous benefits package. In addition to excellent training and ongoing professional development, staff are enrolled in the local government pension scheme and benefit from flexible working with regular rota patterns, staff discounts, family friendly policies and free parking when on shift.
