Douglas Scott are representing an elite US law firm in the search for a standout Competition Litigation Associate or Senior Associate (3-7 PQE) to join its London office. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing team at the forefront of complex, high-stakes antitrust disputes, working on matters that shape the evolving competition landscape in the UK and beyond.
The Team:
The London competition practice is widely recognised for its strength in contentious antitrust matters. The team is regularly instructed on standalone and follow-on damages actions, cartel investigations, and abuse of dominance cases. Acting for a prestigious client base including multinational corporates, financial institutions, and private equity sponsors, the practice is involved in some of the most significant UK and cross-border competition disputes.
The Role:
You will play a key role in advising on a broad range of competition litigation and regulatory matters, including:
- High-value follow-on and standalone damages claims
- Collective proceedings before the Competition Appeal Tribunal
- Regulatory investigations and enforcement actions
- Strategic advisory work relating to competition risk and disputes
This position offers early responsibility, direct partner exposure, and the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile cases from the outset.
The Ideal Candidate:
- England & Wales qualified (or equivalent)
- 3-7 years’ PQE gained at a leading law firm or competition practice
- Strong experience in competition litigation and/or antitrust disputes
- Excellent academic background
- Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills
- Commercially minded with a collaborative approach
