Real Estate Finance Paralegal

Full-time, office-based

About the Role

We are working with a leading UK law firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services across a broad range of property and finance matters. The firm offers a supportive, collaborative working environment and works with a diverse client base including investors, corporate clients, and private individuals in the UK and internationally.

An opportunity has arisen for a Real Estate Finance Paralegal to join the Property team. The successful candidate will support fee earners on a range of property finance and real estate transactions, working across both residential and commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with a variety of property transactions including:
  • Freehold and leasehold matters
  • New build purchases
  • Remortgages
  • Transfers of equity
  • Lease extensions
  • Supporting fee earners through exchange and completion processes
  • Opening and managing client files, ensuring accurate and timely file maintenance
  • Assisting with AML compliance and onboarding procedures
  • Preparing and submitting SDLT returns
  • Handling Companies House filings where required
  • Submitting HM Land Registry applications and dealing with requisitions
  • Managing post-completion requirements for leasehold transactions
  • Liaising with clients, agents, lenders, and other solicitors to progress matters efficiently
  • Supporting file closing and general administrative duties

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months’ experience working as a property paralegal
  • Strong understanding of residential property and/or real estate finance transactions
  • Experience with SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
  • Familiarity with post-completion procedures, particularly in leasehold matters
  • Exposure to Companies House filings is desirable
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and third parties
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a busy conveyancing environment
