CENTRAL LONDON

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Estates Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a vibrant, mixed-use campus. This is a dynamic role managing a diverse estate including retail, office, and specialist spaces, ensuring a high-quality environment for occupiers, visitors, and stakeholders. You will play a key role in maintaining strong relationships across the estate, delivering operational excellence, and ensuring compliance, safety, and sustainability standards are consistently achieve.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES…

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with occupiers, stakeholders, and neighbouring properties, ensuring clear and consistent communication across the estate
  • Act as the main point of contact for occupier and contractor liaison, supporting coordination of landlord works and operational activities
  • Manage the annual service charge budget, including forecasting, monitoring expenditure, and producing management accounts
  • Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings to communicate planned maintenance, review performance, and address operational matters
  • Liaise with external bodies including local authorities, emergency services, and utilities to coordinate estate-related activities
  • Lead on emergency preparedness, including incident management planning, testing, and response procedures
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, acting as a key responsible person for estate operations and safe working practices
  • Carry out regular audits to maintain high standards across public and back-of-house areas
  • Oversee estate infrastructure including service roads, loading bays, and car parking operations
  • Lead sustainability and biodiversity initiatives across the campus
  • Manage waste operations and develop long-term strategies to improve efficiency and environmental performance
  • Procure and manage service contracts, ensuring they meet the operational needs of the estate
  • Oversee all hard and soft services including M&E, cleaning, security, landscaping, fabric maintenance, and waste
  • Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes and coordinate reactive maintenance alongside technical teams
  • Maintain estate documentation including fire safety, water hygiene, and access equipment records
  • Act as Senior Fire Warden and support occupiers in meeting their statutory compliance obligations
  • Handle incidents, complaints, insurance claims, and disputes in a professional and timely manner
  • Support seasonal estate initiatives, including landscaping and event-related activities

ABOUT YOU…

  • Proven experience in estates, facilities, or property management within a complex or mixed-use environment
  • Strong knowledge of service charge budgeting, contractor management, and estate operations
  • Solid understanding of M&E services, PPM programmes, and compliance requirements
  • Confident managing multiple stakeholders in a customer-facing environment
  • Experience overseeing both hard and soft FM services
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance frameworks
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
