Senior Assistant Company Secretary
SSQ is partnering with a leading insurance company to recruit a Senior Company Secretary Assistant. This is an opportunity for a fully qualified Company Secretary Assistant with 3-6 years of experience to join a busy Secretarial team, supporting the governance framework of an international insurance group.
This position will manage end-to-end committee support and be involved in the organisations sustainability protocol globally. Suited to someone with a variety of experience and a genuine interest in ESG.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of Board and Committee meetings, including preparing agendas, collating papers, managing calendars and maintaining action logs.
- Work with the Company Secretary on all sustainability projects across the business
- Assist with statutory and regulatory filings
- Maintain accurate company records, registers, and KYC documentation.
- Attend board and committee meetings alongside the Company Secretary or Assistant Company Secretaries
- Support internal governance processes, policy alignment, and onboarding of new agency partners.
- Assist with wider legal and corporate governance projects as required.
Candidate Requirements
- 3-6 years’ experience in a company secretarial position.
- Fully qualified Company secretary via the Corporate Governance Institute
- Experience within financial services is preferred but not mandatory
- Experience working on KYC compliance, Companies House, Diligent Entities, Entity governance, AGMs and Annual reports
- Highly organised with strong administrative skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Clear, confident communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
