Business Strategy Partner – ASAP start – Day rate (inside IR35) – Remote working with occasional site visits – 12 month initial contract

We’re supporting a major transmission operator rolling out a framework and they are looking for someone who will be responsible for embedding it. You’ll be aligning supply chain, regulators, and internal teams to make sure this framework lands properly.

The Role:

• Act as a strategic Business Partner across delivery and supply chain
• Embed and scale a major HVDC framework across international markets (UK, US & Europe)
• Work closely with regulators, navigating governance and compliance
• Drive strategy, manage demand, and identify delivery opportunities across programmes
• Align delivery with capital expenditure targets and commercial objectives
• Operate across multiple divisions, influencing stakeholders at all levels
• Work within a fast-paced, data driven environment where decisions actually matter

Requirements:

• Strong background within the energy sector (offshore, utilities, T&D preferred)
• Experience working with regulators and understanding regulatory frameworks
• Solid commercial awareness, understands contract values, structures, and delivery risk
• Familiarity with FIDIC or NEC contracts
• MCIPS qualification (desired but not essential)
• You’ll need to be self-sufficient, commercially sharp, and comfortable operating in ambiguity

Contract details:

• Initial 12 month contract (inside IR35)
• Day rate
• Hybrid working (occasional office visits)
• Immediate start
