Head of Engineering: AI Native Platform – Up to £180k (base) + equity

Few&Far have partnered with a company whose an AI native platform operates at enterprise scale, turning complex global research into a strategic asset for some of the world's largest organisations. They have strong traction, a growing customer base across multiple continents, and they're preparing for their next major funding round to scale significantly.

Now they need a Head of Engineering to lead their high-performing team through hyper-growth.

The mission, should you accept it…

Scale the engineering organisation without losing momentum: You'll lead a growing team of engineers, manage managers, and build squad structures that allow the organisation to move fast as headcount multiplies.

Own the technical roadmap: You'll guide the evolution of a platform running a complex, distributed architecture with high-availability requirements. You'll balance innovation with reliability in an AI-native environment where underlying technologies evolve constantly.

Partner with product leadership: You'll work alongside a product counterpart on transformative initiatives that will define the next phase of the business.

Shape engineering culture: You'll maintain a builder mindset, hungry, innovative, comfortable with ambiguity while introducing the discipline required for enterprise-grade reliability.

The toolkit you'll bring…

Hyper-growth leadership experience: You've scaled an engineering organisation through rapid growth with experience managing managers. You're comfortable with ambiguity and constant technological evolution.

Deep distributed systems expertise: You have experience with complex, service-oriented architectures and high-availability requirements.

Production readiness track record: You've introduced or significantly improved CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment processes in a fast-moving environment. You know how to bring discipline without killing velocity.

Office-first commitment: You're based in or willing to commute to London and thrive on in-person collaboration. This team has strong bonds and an office-first culture.
