The shift pattern for this post is resident shifts and on‑call. This is a fixed‑term post for 12 months. Salary is pro‑rata for part‑time hours.

The post is a whole‑time locum consultant in Neonatology to cover maternity leave. Successful applicants will deliver inpatient care in the neonatal units at the Royal Hospital for Children and the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, and will deliver neonatal outpatient clinics at the Royal Hospital for Children.

The Royal Hospital for Children’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Glasgow (RHC) is the largest of the three units in GG&C, providing level 3 neonatal services with 16 intensive care, 14 high‑dependency and 20 special‑care cots. It is the lead perinatal centre for the west of Scotland and part of the Scottish Perinatal Network, providing regional and national services.
